How we work
How iNeedTranslations prepares foreign documents for Turkish authorities and how the pages on this site are written from official sources.
We are a private translation office in Ankara, Türkiye. We prepare Turkish translations of foreign documents for use before Turkish authorities and explain how a document is certified abroad before it is translated.
Certification abroad
The apostille or legalisation is issued in the country where the document comes from, by the authority that the official sources name for that kind of document. We do not issue apostilles or legalisations, and we are not a government agency.
Translation in Türkiye
The Turkish translation is made in Türkiye by translators sworn before a Turkish notary. Where the receiving Turkish authority requires it, the translation is notarised by a Turkish notary. The authority that receives the document decides whether it accepts it.
How the pages are written
Each page is based on the official sources listed at its end, together with the date on which those sources were last checked. Where the sources do not settle a point, the page says so and names the office to confirm it with. The pages are general information, not legal advice for an individual case.
